NTFS partitions and Fdisk

I have a problem with this server that has (had) windows 2003 installed on a
20GB NTFS partition inside a 300GB hard disk (SCSI). The problem is that the
rest of the hard drive was not partitioned, and to do it, my partner used
fdisk from a Win98 boot disk. He sais that Fdisk recognized the 20GB
partition, but that it "forced" him to make a master DOS partition in order
to create an extended partition (which is what he really wanted to do in the
first place).
I cought him when this process was a 98% and sow ot reboot the system to a
"Missig operating system" error message.

My question is: Is there a way to recover the original partition to the
point it was before all this happened?

Thanks a lot in advance!!!

Never use Fdisk...use disk management!!!!

If you don't have a backup...

Your best hope is to get a 3rd party file recovery utility and seee if there
is any recoverable data on the drive.

Something like Acronis Disk Director might be able to recover it for you...
