I have 45gb of unallocated space, out of which I want to make a
partition of 2gb for swap file. When I highlight the unallocated space
in PPM , the only choice of actions I have is to view sectors.
How do I create a new partition? I can't even format it in windows
IRC is just multiplayer notepad. -- bash.org/?85514
Re: New partition in unallocated space
Definitely showing as unallocated in disk management. Disc management
won't let me do anything with this space. In PPM it shows the space as
*: , same as my linux partitions. I'm going to use a linux boot disc to
format it as ext3, as I originally created it for a linux distro.
I've decided to install a 1.6gb drive as a swap disc, 2 partitions, 1
each for linux and windows.
I've taken this to a software group (microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics)
Sorry for posting in the wrong group. Thanks for your reply.
