Mystery directory/file on partition

Do you have a question? Post it now! No Registration Necessary.  Now with pictures!

I have 2 hard drives, both of them partitioned.  I have created a
partition ):\ of 7.8 GB on the 2nd drive, formatted using NTFS (all other
partitions are FAT32).  I want to Image my C:\ OS drive to that new
partition, which I have labeled a Primary rather than Logical Partition - my
C:\ drive is also 7.8 GB.

However, the O:\ drive shows 2.45GB of space being used, and only 5.36GB
available.  Neither Windows Explorer, PowerDesk, XYplorer, nor any other
software shows what is taking up this space, and re-formatting also fails to
free it up.

Any suggestions?
