If media is in drive when laptop (Dell Latitude D610) is started then media
is seen and can be read and used as normal.
If media is ejected then change is immediately detected in Explorer.
If new media is inserted then nothing happens, Explorer remains unchanged

and drive is seen as no media present. Leave the media in place and restart
the laptop and media is then seem
Have spent quite a boot of time looking for others with this problem and
nothing quite matches!
Anyone any ideas please - even a workaround will do.
