I have this device (modem?) made by practical peripherals (PM1200SA MINI).
It has 10 little switches on the bottom. Does anyone know anything about
this device, (ie how it works, where to find drivers, etc)?

I believe that's a 1200 baud modem.
It would be 100% useless as it's way too slow.
Not likely any ISP would even support a connection at that speed...

It seems to be mentioned in passing fairly often according to my Google
search. But the fact that it seems to be mentioned only in regards to
security alarm devices and software suggests that it is used now only in
that specialized niche.
