My friend says he has a HP 930 printer that has both USB and Parallel
connectors on it.  He has two machines and wonders if he can install
that printer on both machines, one USB, the other Parallel.

I looked at Driver guide.com and saw no drivers specific for USB and
Parallel.  I don't know if the software that came with his printer had

I was thinking he should be able to install USB on one machine,
Parallel on the other independently, and then be able to use the
printer on each machine (not at same time of course).  Am I wrong?

That'll work fine. I have a laser printer I use with my lap top (usb)
and parallel with my pc.

You simply install the one driver and while it installs it
detects the printer- thus the printer needs to be turned on
and connected.  AT least, with other HPs it is this way, I
don't remember the model numbers.

Often one just connects the printer to one of the systems
and networks them, then it's accessible from the other
