Hydravision to display the same page on both monitors. Also switch
monitors between desktops by means of the Multi-desktop Icon in the system tray.
What I want is to have one specific application visible on monitor #2 all the
time (for reading documentation) and an active application (browsing,
notepad, Excel) visible on monitor #1. I just can't seem to get the settings
right. Periodically I want to switch to #2 and page down or go to
another page, then return to #1 to continue browsing, etc.
Any help out there for me?
Re: How do I setup Dual Monitor's using Hydravision?
You do not have dual monitor support directly from the Radeon without
using Hydravision? Open Display properties. Do you see monitor 1 and
monitor 2? If you do, then select monitor 2 and toggle Extend my
desktop to this monitor. Does that work? If it does then simply open
notepad, as an example, and drag its window from monitor 1 to monitor 2.
It will then open in monitor 2 until you change it. You might have to
fiddle with the notepad window size a bit depending on the relative
resolutions of the notebook LCD and the external monitor. Also, note
that the position of monitor 2 in the picture determines what the
coordinates of monitor 2 will be relative to the top and bottom of
monitor 1. If you want a smooth transition of the mouse from monitor 1
to monitor 2 from the top of monitor 1, then position the top left
corner of monitor 2 against the top right corner of monitor 1. If you
would rather have a smooth transition from the bottom margin of monitor
1 to monitor 2, then match the bottom left corner of monitor 2 to the
bottom right corner of monitor 1.
