I want to eliminate having to press the power on/off button on my
system before the system will boot. I want to boot just by powering
I thought I had set this option in the BIOS, but now I cannot find it,
The system was doing this but now is not.
Am I simply missing the BIOS place to set this up?
Re: How do I 'auto-boot' my K8V SE MOBO?
What is this method of "just by powering up", exactly?
I mean, pressing a button is a pretty common way of getting
the job done but you seem to have something else in mind...
Maybe we have a different definition of "boot" or "power
Probably, it'd be a bios setting or jumper, unless what you
meant was that formerly the system was only going into a
sleep (power management) mode and you were waking it by
moving the mouse or pressing keyboard, etc.

I'm sorry. I wasn't clear.
I have system connected to a power panel, and I like to be able to
start up by merely toggling the panel's switch to 'on'. Instead, I
additionally have to press the 'ON' button on the case.
I have found the BIOS setting to do this - so forget my question.
Basically the BIOS allows me to set system to power on after a power
loss, which in effect is what happens when I power off. Now it is
working a g a i n.
