Would changing  the pcs in my home to all gigabite network compatiable
speed up connection from internet cable or does a 10/100 card work
as well for
that connection. I know gigabite will speed up between pcs

Your internet access would be faster only if your isp is providing data
rates higher than 100 megabits/second.  Maybe someday.

It appears you're using Comcast.  Their residential service
is up to 20Mb if I remember correctly, far enough below
100Mb that your network card is fine.

However, some are still using old routers with a 10mb
instead of 100Mb WAN port on their router to connect to the
cable modem, that would bottleneck a 10Mb or faster rated
ISP service.
