One of my favorite online hardware sellers has now closed its doors:

Does anybody have a recommendation for a similar company other than
Newegg or Tiger?

Although I usually deal with NewEgg

I have dealt with MCM Electronics and was pleased with them.

Note: It's been a while since I did though, so you may want to check
their ratings first

I've used MCM. OK. I'm not sure they are better than the rest of the
pack, but it isn't like you won't get your stuff.

My recollection is there are just a few PC part distributors. These are
companies that end users can't buy from. Ingram for instance. So the
vast majority of these smaller dealers are just getting their parts from
the same handful of vendors. Feel free to enlighten me it that is no
longer the case.

I'm assuming when you reach the level of New Egg or Tiger, you are doing
some deals directly with the manufacturer.

I've used Chief Value, but I think New Egg owns them.

The wiki says they own Chief Value. However, sometimes you get better
deals from one or the other.

For the most part I deal with NewEgg

but often enough make a purchase on eBay from a vendor in China.

The price is exceeding low, so low that it's worth taking a chance.
Thus far I've had no problems.

The parts I've purchased are pretty much the same parts as are sold by
American vendors anyway.

I usually check for price comparisons and reviews and have purchased from them.
