on my work I have a computer that issues an annoying BEEP from the
internal loudspeaker when you do something wrong (like scrolling above
the top of a spreadsheet) or there happens something (an incoming email).
I have taken the liberty of opening the case of the computer and unplug
the wires between the motherboard and the internal loudspeaker.
Can this be harmful?
It is a recent type HP, Windows XP.
I know, by tuning the system settings I can turn it off, but my
ICT-department doesn't allow me to do so (nor opening the computer).
Thanks for any advice,
