Not only not worth, but you're better with a Northwood core rather than
Prescott: (very much) lower temps and power consumption. And if you want to
make it faster, no problem to overclock a 2.8 GHz Northwood to 3.2 GHz, all
with stock cooler.
But if you install a Prescott, you'll have to change the stock cooler to a
better one in order to keep temps and noise at an acceptable level.
The only benefit with Prescotts comes from the motherboard and chipset that
could allow PCI Express and DDR2. Question remains if in real life you will
notice any difference...
