Windows XP Pro.
Hotsynch (local USB connection) sometimes causes the computer to crash to
the Blue Screen of Death, with the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error,
blaming the PalmUSB driver.
The driver in system32/drivers is dated July 2002, which is the same as the
driver in the Sony Handheld\USB folder.
I have 2 other USB devices: MS Optical mouse, logitech joystick (which may
or may not have the profiler loaded).
At the time of the last crash, but not at others, I also had a Magellan GPS
attached via serial cord to Com1, which was the same Com port that the USB
reported. I was under the impression that one didn't have to worry about
stuff like this anymore, but would be very happy to be otherwise informed.
I may have had the logitech joystick profiler loaded during some of the
other incidents, and the mouse is always attached.
Any ideas as to what I can do to prevent this problem?
