am diving into new territory and need some suggestions. I have a vb6
app that uses an access 2000 db thru a dao connection. Everything works
fine. Now my client needs an app written to run on a pocketpc. The
pocketpc we chose was the hhp dolphin 9550 running pocketpc 2003 pro.
After taling with some developers, I realized evb is not supported for
the dolphin 9550 and he says I need to user vb.net compact framework to
develop the app and that vb.net will not communicate with an access db,
only ms sql. So, to do all of that i will have to convert my db to ms
sql and change my vb6 code to ado, then buy vb.net and write my app
using the compact framework.
Does all of this seem correct? Is this the best route to go? I am open
to any suggestions.
Thanks in Advance,
