Are you sure ?
It is my understanding, that you can initiate a reinstall
directly from that hidden partition. Either by making a
modification to the bios manually or by using the supplied
utility.
The only limitation is, that you did not make any changes to the
drives geometry or partitions.
The option to burn a CD is intended to safeguard against a
corrupted harddisk.
