hello. Im not sure how this web site works but i hope someone can help me. I
have windows XP and every time i left click on a folder to open it, windows
search appears instead. The only way i can open a folder is to right click it
and then click open. It never used to be like that and i have no idea what i
did to it. How can i change my left click options so that the folder i want
opens instead of search? please help

no problem - this is the Media Center Newsgroup in the future the Windows XP
General group will probably be more effective for you...

anyways try going to Settings--> Control Panel--> Mouse Properties and see
what your left button is setup to do... it may be set to something odd.
