ActiveSync 3.8 (build 5004) won't syncronize Files, it will go through
searching for changes, synchronize everything else on the list of
Information Types, but when it gets down to Files, it startes synchronizing
but then seems to hang. The green pie keeps spinning inside itself, but the
progress report says something like "0 out of 16 items completed". (It used
to be "0 out of 20 items completed" until I soft-reset the PDA (Dell Axim
X50) and told ActiveSync not to convert files.)

I need the updates I typed into the files on the PDA, so please help me find
the way to make ActiveSync finish its job.

Thanks,
Chris.

Hi,
If you have a firewall installed it can prevent the synchronization of
files. Try disabling the firewall and synchronize.

See my post "Sync Hangs". Same thing. I disabled firewall and it still
does not work.
