For those of you who could use the extra laptop battery life, I thought
you might appreciate my experience. I am running an IBM Thinkpad T20
and recently bought an external laptop battery at
http://www.batterygeek.net from this company called batterygeek. As I
am now getting an extra 7-8 hours of additional run time per charge, I
would highly recommend this batterygeek battery to anyone.

Cheers,

Mike Diamond
CEO
Diamond Tech Inc.

A number of companies sell those. I'm sorry but Mike Diamond's post
is a little too much of a sales pitch and I have to ask what is
connection is with the company that he mentioned. The only "Diamond
Tech" companies I could find (dtiinnovations.com and diamondtech.com)
were industrial diamond producers and didn't mention a Mike Diamond.

I've been interested for a while in one of those batteries but I don't
like stealth spamming. I'd probably buy from another vendor.

Also, that battery site makes no mention of how long it takes to
charge the battery using the AC adapter.

That said, what I really want is a battery sort of like that, but in a
thing that snaps onto my X40 thinkpad like the X4 Ultrabase. IBM makes
such a battery that stupidly has only 4 cells (30 WH or so) inside.
120 WH is a lot more interesting.

I'm just curious as to why, If hes the CEO at Diamondtech, why he has a
Hotmail email address and not a @ diamondtech ?

With that said....What I would like is a Stand Alone charger that would
allow me to charge my spare battery without swamping them in and out of my
laptop....
