Ok. so im using SBS2003 and exchange 2003 (sp2)

Im am trying to connect a HP IPAQ to the business network but when i
try to sync (using activesync 4.2) i keep getting stuck with this error
code: 85010004 and on my PPC it asks for a Password. The odd thing is
that there is another user who can connect no problem...?!

Right I KNOW that SSL has been configured correctly, the security
settings are correct, the certificates are up to date. Its not a global
setting becuase other member of the company can acess and snyc with no
problems and both users have the same rights.

I've gotten completly stuck on this, any suggestions would be *greatly*
appreciated.

I see that you are getting an HTTP 403 error:
Here are the things I would check for:
1) Make sure that your account has been enabled for Sync/Mobility Features
2) I know that you have the cert and SSL is enabled - can you make sure that
OWA works using Pocket IE
3) The password dialog should not pop up every time you sync. If the
password dialog pops up - you are getting HTTP 401 and the error code should
be 85010002

I would then post the same query to exchange.mobility newsgroup

I found the answer is to enable Windows Integrated Authentication on the
Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync Virtual Dir

Open IIS Manager > Web Sites > Default Web Site
Right Click "Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync" select "Properties"
Select the "Directory Security" Tab
Select the "Edit" button under "Authentication and access control"
Check the "Integrated Windows Authentication" checkbox
Select the OK button
(recommended if accessing via the Internet)
Select the "Edit" button under "Secure communications"
Check the Require secure channel (SSL) and Require 128-bit encryption
checkboxes
*if you are using a different name from the inside CN of the server you'll
have to make a new SSL cert with Makecert with the outside name and apply it
to the default web site. After which you'll have to install it on the PDA.
