hello,
i am trying to use activesync to sync my emulator with my pc
i'm using ppc 2003 SE emulator and embedded vc++ 4
i also use virtual serial ports for driver xp 5
i get two virtual serial ports com3 and com4
and i am not sure which (com3/com4) should be set in the following place
1. regedit -> serial ports
2. evc++4 -> emulation config setting -> serial port1/2
3. in desktop, activesync -> allow serial cable or infrared connection to
this com port
what com port should be set ? 3 or 4?? i don't understand the guildline in
msdn...
also, in fact i have tried all possible combination, but the result is a
window pop up showing:

microsoft activesync cannot recognize this device for one of two reasons:
*the device was not connected properly. To start..............
* The device is not a smartphone or pocketpc. to keep.....
*********************************
is there any steps i 've missed?
