I have MCE 2005 with Rollup 2. ATI All in Wonder 800XL with all the driver
installed. The AtI comes with a decodercyberlink and that is set as my
prefered decoder.

Now everything is fine. As soon as I install a ULEAD video ssstudio/movie
factory program, or WINDVD the ehrecvr.exe CPU usuage runn at 95+% and bogs
the system down. MCE is not even running, just the service is slowing down.
Before I used to get ehrecvr.exe crash errors so I formated and reinstalled
everything, and as soon as I install a vvideo editor ehrecvr.exe CPU usage
runs high, I do system restore everything is fine.

not sure how to trace the conflict. MCR is not running a this point. The
system just booted up and logged in.

Please help! I need to get videos off of my DV camera.

Thanks

Click Start, Run, type in "services.msc" (without the ""'s) and press enter.
Look for that service, and change it from Automatic startup to Manual
startup. This should make it so that it only starts up when needed, so that
it doesn't bog up your system when you only want to do certain tasks. DO NOT
start messing around with other services if you don't know what they do.
