The IR receiver will have nothing to do with syncing your phone. What kind
of phone? All Windows Mobile phones come with a cable and a copy of
ActiveSync to facilitate syncing. If you want to sync some other way, there
is additional hardware you need, that you may or may not already have.

i have a nokia phone(think its 6100) capable of infrared connectivity and all
i was hoping was an infrared connection via the ir receiver that came with
the computer since the desktop does not have an ir port of its own i figured
out that thier must be a way to do this!. just to let u know i do have the
Active sync by Microsoft and a copy of the Nokia pc suite.
((And pls dont send me another newsgroup and if u have to pls send me to the
right one))

thanks in Advance.
