Hi All,

Sorry if this is the wrong group but I wasn't sure where to post it....

What event is logged in W2K3 when a disk is below 10% free disk space. I
found http://support.microsoft.com/kb/112509 that shows how to configure it
in 2000 and our MOM alerts now work fine with those servers but I need to do
the same for the W2K3 servers and I can't find which event I need to
monitor.

TIA

I'm not sure if there this function is implemented in Win2003 but
then I prefer a far more aggressive method than just logging an
event in the event logger. My preference is to get the Task
Scheduler to send an EMail once every day if the amount of
free space on any one drive drops below a preset percentage
value. Post again if you're interested in a script that will do this.

Windows 2003 throws a warning with the Event Source: Srv and the Event
ID: 2013 when disk space is low. This occurs on boot. Use the
DiskSpaceThreshold registry dword to configure the check.

As already mentioned, it would be best to use other tools to monitor
disk space because this check is not performed regularly.
