i just got a new computer with windows xp media center, and i'd like to
disable all passwords period - in a best case, i'd never, never ever see that
box that asks me for my name and password. i just don't have the need for it.
thanks

right click on "my computer" choose manage

expand "local users and groups"

choose Users

on right side right click each user and choose reset password, make sure
password boxes are blank

go to control panel, users icon

change way users log on and off

make sure box is checked for "use welcome screen"

Hi,

Click Start...Run...type control userpasswords2 and hit enter. Click on or
highlight the user to login with and untick the option "User must enter a
username and ...". Click on the Apply button. Type in the selected user's
password. This will automatically login the user on bootup. I agree with the
previous reply, a user password is required for RDP to work. This is why I
suggest enabling auto login.

Hope this helps.
