 Hi,

I am experiancing very severe slowdown of desktop Outlook (2003) whenever a
device (WM5) is connected (ActiveSync 4.2) .

What can be the cause ?
Can anyone help ?

Hi,
ActiveSync will load Outlook 2003 when a device is connected. This will
generate a large amount of disk access if the .PST file is large or there is
a lot of data that has changed. Also, ActiveSync uses the CPU to support
the connection of the WM5 device.
