Micha,

I have just looked at Spampal and the latest stable version seems to
be from 2005. Plus, to have it work with Outlook 2003 you need a beta
version which would be a little worrying.

Have I got it wrong?

At the moment I use the junk email filtering software for Outlook 2003
which seems to work reasonably well. I only see the occasional 1 or 2
emails whcih get passed it.

It seems odd that you cannot keep up-to-date with the filtering
software from within Outllook 2003 itself..

Cheers

Correct, there wasn't much development over the last two years. There
are some postings about the reasons in their forum:

http://www.spampalforums.org/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1

But I wouldn't worry too much about that. Almost all of the work is done
by the plugins. And hopefully the work on the main program will revive
again in the next months.

Hmm, I don't know about Outlook. Here on my machine SpamPal runs as a
proxy which simply listens on the POP3 port. My Agent connects to the
localhost with some special login credentials, then SpamPal logs-in to
the real server and fetches the mails. Nothing special.

Thanks Micha - will have another try. The link for the Bayes plugin
doesn't provide any download at the moment.

Cheers

Jukka,

I have got myself into a real muddle re how to add an email address
with the .invalid part. Do you know how to do this in Agent v4.2?

I cannot see how to add the "change nospam to gcox and invalid to com"
if I use nospam@freeuk.invalid ...

Cheers

I specifically asked you not to change your forged From field until you
have a clue. Having a clue means that you learn how to post to Usenet
and do that learning outside this group, which is devoted to HTML.
