whats the deal here?
lots of ads but no responses.
I bet they get 200 replies a day, and dont even
go thru them.
Anyone have any luck with IT, web design, etc. jobs
on this no frills board?

I had some downtime last December, did pick up one quickie website
repair job. 10 hours worth of work for $450. I got my check in about 2
weeks, and I was okay with that.

When the same guy came back a month later with more work to be done on
the site and expected it completed as part of the original fee, I
decided I was not okay with that.

I would not go to that craigslist again. My expereince shows them to be
cheap SOB's. A person that wants a real web designer would open the
yellow pages or do a google search.

yes and no. whoever said CL is full of cheapskates is right for sure. we
have gotten some interesting work though. the big payoff is contacts. i've
really made some good contacts from CL simply by introducing myself and
asking about what issues people are facing. other than that, at least where
i am (arizona), people posting for help are at least motivated buyers....

so i'm talking about people posting for help not their services section
which i imagine to be a nice little way to waste time.
