Well, if the PDA is a Palm, there is a desktop application
that contains all the built-in Palm applications. In
addition, many of the third-party applications have a
desktop version that uses the same data file. The data is
updated when you do a hot sync.

If you have a Palm there is a very nice external keyboard
that connects to the Palm via IR. I don't know of any
external mouse or video adapter.

This newsgroup is biased towards (if not actually meant for) Palm OS
handhelds. Questions about iPAQs and other Pocket PCs are more likely
to get useful answers if asked in microsoft.public.pocketpc. More
below (in line).

I know several keyboards exist. HP may even have one. Targus
(www.targus) definitely has several.

I'm not sure about monitor connections. I just used google
(http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search) to look up
vga
in microsoft.public.pocketpc and got 264 hits. I took a quick look and
was not encouraged, but that wouldn't be much for someone with more
motivation (like you) to wade through.

Check a 5-6 May 2006 thread called "presentation of PDA program" in
microsoft.public.pocketpc

If you have a cradle, and connect the Pocket PC to the computer via
ActiveSync - you can use Microsoft's free "Remote Desktop Control
application -
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/wce/downloads/ppctoys.mspx
It allows you to use your computer keyboard, mouse and monitor to view the
screen. Also, if you control the pocket pc directly - you will see the
actions on the computer screen. Hope this helps.
