The new wave of cybercrime

I'm a college student with an associates of arts degree, who is now in
their 3/4th year, studying Magazine Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse
School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

I'm taking a Magazine writing class, which requires me to work on one
large story throughout the semester. I chose to cover the recent
upsurge in cybercrime. I'm looking for anybody that has personally
experienced, or knows someone who, at some point experienced some form
of cybercrime, and who would be willing to talk about it. It can be as
simple or an in-depth as you prefer it, and can be done over e-mail if
you're not comfortable with the phone. I also wouldn't mind a word
from those who know a thing or two about computers and/or how
cybercrime works.

I'm just gathering information at the moment, yet do note that this
piece is not for publication and will only really be seen by the eyes
of my professor.

If you think they might be interested, please do say so. I will
greatly appreciate any feedback that I can get!
