the site had been hacked by Yusuf KARA. I did a Google search and
searched Usenet groups as well and it's apparent that this person or
thing or whatever it is has destroyed a large number of online
What I could not find out was, aside from rendering the hacked forums
useless, what other risks are associated with this? Are there impacts
to the computers of those who used the forums? Should I be looking
for anything specific on my machine?

accessed. If this guy had hacked a forum, maybe he had modified how and
what on cookies any forum must put. So, wipe out all the cookies of
your browser and u don't have to be worried regarding your computer
anymore. However if you happen to be a member of any forum hacked by
Yusuf, your contact details maybe at risk depending on how much details
oyu have on your profile.
So, don't worry too much, a hacked forum doesn't mean a threat to your
pc if u'r just a user.
