Is it possible to use Truecrypt to encrypt folders on the C drive.
That is, to use Truecrypt to password protect folders?

OS is vista Home Premium, 32 bit

This looks like an excellent program I am very impressed by its security
capabilities  I am playing with this on Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and it
seems to work fine. I give this product 2 thumps up !

Hm, no I don't think you can encrypt a folder. You can encrypt an
entire partition, or you can create an encrypted file that appears to
Windows as a drive letter, but I don't think you can make it appear as
a directory. Unless Windows can mount drive letters on directories -
there is the MOUNTVOL command, but it appears to be unable to mount
virtual drives.

AHA, junction.exe will do the trick:

Make a directory to act as the mount point, e.g. C:\encrypted
Mount the TrueCrypt file as a drive letter, e.g. T:
Run the command: junction C:\encrypted T:
To remove it, run: junction -d C:\encrypted
