mixed reviews of the work experience required. According to the webpage (
https://www.isc2.org/cgi-bin/content.cgi?page=167 ), CISSP professional
experience includes management of projects.
My role within a large company involves implementing projects, training
contractors to complete work, making decisions when there are major network
Would that qualify for the CISSP?

But it doesn't *require* management experience, that's just one of many
examples of work experience.
My experience was as a system/network administrator, system programmer,
and technical support engineer, and it qualified.
