Consumers are continuing to pursue commercial mortgages as an
investment, despite reports of unfavourable trends in financial
markets. A less than satisfactory job report for the US in May and
federal chairman Ben Bernanke's suggestion of rising inflationary
rates, both indicate a weaker economy.However, as US Treasury bond
yields have fallen, commercial mortgage rates have fallen with them,
causing real estate to continue being regarded as a favoured
investment.
