I have a smart phone with windows mobile 2003 in Chinese, it can display both
English and Chinese correctly. My PC is windows XP in English but with
Chinese fonts support. Activesync is 4.1.0 in English. When I sync outlook
with my phone, all the chinese characters in outlook (like contacts, notes)
are changed to ?? on mobile. I tried Activesync Chinese version, the same.
Only on PC installed with Windows in Chinese, the chinese characters won't be
changed to ??.

May somebody tell me how to solve this problem? I have to use the windows XP
in English, but I want to keep my smartphone in Chinese, it seems there is a
dilema here.

Hi,
The problem with multiple langauge fonts is that the default font (Tahoma)
does not have all the characters of all fonts. So you would need to install
a Tahoma font from your PC that supports the Chinese characters you are
using.

I hope this helps. I've run into this with contacts that I have that are in
English and Korean.
