Using Win mobile 5.0 and Exchanger Server 2003 SP2. Active Sync with server
gives error "security certificate invalid..."

Can someone provide a step by step explanation of how to install a
certificate? or is there a way to not check for the certificate? We have a
contract IT guy who is only onsite once a week! Need some basic help here.

Thanks.

Copy the .cer file for the certificate to the device. Tap on it in the File
Explorer, etc. In the Control Panel, open the Certificates applet. Verify
that the certificate is shown in the list.

This can only be done if the machine does not have a cert import lock. You
may need to edit the registry to allow cert import.
