hi there,
i am sooo frustrated... just moved from palm to pocketpc last week.
bought a htc p3600i wm6 device

started to syn last week via activesync 4.5 only files to my laptop.
now after 1 week i thought i give outlook a try that i never used before.
have plenty of contacts and calendar entries on my pocketpc.
unfortunatelly now when i try to sync every time i loose my calendar
entries etc on my pocketpc. :-(( luckily i made a backup to my storagecard
last night, so i was able to get the data back onto the pocket pc.

deleted sync partnership already twice :( but no success

data from outlook to pocketpc seems to work the one fake entry in outlook
2007 appears always on the pocketpc. but the pocketpc data is gone after
sync.

what am i doing wrong here. how do i tell activesync/outlook to accept the
data from my pocketpc?????

any help?

cheers
will

Hi,
Did you launch Outlook on the PC and setup a PST file to store the data you
want to sync?

This is a new behavior some people have reported seeing upon their first
sync with a WM6 device- the contents of the device are "replaced" by the PC.

Try this as a workaround. Backup your contacts/calendar, then create your
partnership and sync (wiping them out again!)

Now restore ONLY the contacts and calendar items from the backup (not the
whole device- we want to preserve the partnership) and resync- the data
should now copy to the PC as if you just entered it on the device by hand.
