HI,

I have a user that for some reason has copied the contents of his my
documents folder over and over again in his mydocs folder, ie the path is
Docs and Settings/username/folder/mydocs/username/folder.....this goes on for
5 more levela.

Becasue he did not know what was the most recent document he had used, (most
appeared to all be identical as far as size adn dates) I suggested I burn a
copy of this trouble folder and then delete it and go back top how the my
docs should be.

I tried to copy te large folder to a portable HD, it said file was invalid,
I could not burn to a cd - the size reported was 663, but loaded in Neor at 2
Gig, I got many other errors about scrap files having characters that would
not copy, I tried to aip it and burn to a cd it would not.

I finally copied out the relevent data and zipped and vurned, I still can
not delete the folder - I have tried safe mode, hijack this, RMDIR, nothing.

Any ideas?

The error message I now get is that te folder is not empty.

Thanks in advance.

Kim

You should repost in a relevant newsgroup, this forum is for Media Center,
try a "general" forum for whatever OS you are using.

- Have you checked the drive for virus/disk errors/corruptions/etc.?

- Are you sure there are no system/hidden files in those folders?

- Are you logged in with admin rights?

Login with an account that has administrative privledges and take ownership
of the folder. You should be able to do this by open the properties dialog
for that folder. Then you should be able to delete the file once you own it.
