Hi
I am having trouble putting recorded tv onto dvd with media centre. I select
create cd/dvd from the options. Then I select video DVD but then I receive an
error message saying this is an unsupported format.
Any help would be great.

You need to download a program to change the fomat of the dvr-ms file to
mpeg2 format. dvr-ms files have embedded copyright protection so there are
certain programs that just can't be burned to dvd. Once you have converted
them to mpeg2 format you can use a standard burning program (e.g. Nero) to
burn the files to a video dvd format. Google "convert dvr-ms" to see the
options. Good luck.

Thank you for your help. I tried using sonic 'My DVD' and the recorded TV
program burnt onto a DVD without any problems.
One question though...why did microsoft put the option there if it is not
going to work?
Many thanks

I have Sonic MyDVD as well but I can only import some Media Centre recorded
TV programs.

When I click to import the file, the progress bar appears but only 2 green
bars appear. The bar doesn't fill up.

Do you have this problem as well?
