Provided that the video is not built-in to the motherboard, or if it
is, provided that 1. the built-in video can be disabled and 2. that
there is a slot available for the new card.

Of course, maybe all MCE computers satisfy those criteria. It could be
true - I have no idea.

thank you for your help is there a way of opening my computer to find out if
it is connected to the mother board,because i have looked over the computer
and have not found a screw or anything that would be holding the computer
together or maybe i am just over looking it?
any ideal's

Hate to be like this, but if you can't open your case, I would be hesitant
to advise you to do much inside it. Every legitimate MCE machine I have
purchased has come with a manual, BTW, which included instructions on
upgrading drives, memory, etc, including how to open the case. That hasn't
been true of all PCs, but of the MCEs it has. Possibly the manual is on
a/the CD. Might even be linked on the desktop.

If you are insistent on performing your own surgery under text help, you
might start by providing the brand and model of your PC.
