Hi,
If you can see a green spinning icon after sometime from connecting the
device to the computer, then apply the points below. Otherwise, you
need to make sure that the driver is installed correctly and that the
device is actually working fine. Try disabling any firewall and
antivirus before plugging in your device.
Try repairing Microsoft ActiveSync 4.2 by from Add or Remove Programs >
MS ActiveSync > Change > Repair
If the problem persists, then try using Detect and Repair under
Microsoft Outlook, Help menu.
