I did look into this part of your idea, and although snap to was not checked
to start with, trails was. I unchecked it as you suggested, and I won't know
for sure until I experiment some more, but I think it might have made a
difference. Thank you for that.

I cant run MC. If I try it, an error message saying "The app failed to
initialize properly. Click OK to terminate" pops up. But the really annoying
thing is that every five minutes or so I get a message saying that the MC
Scheduler Service has encountered a problem and needs to close and "sorry for
the inconvenience" it needs to shut down (¿who started it, in the first
place?).
Clicking on details gives the following:
Error Signature
szAppName: ehSched.exe szAppVer: 5.1.2710.2732 szModName: ehSched.exe
szModVer: 5.1.2710.2732 offset:0001820c

I tried to follow the steps to try to shut down MC but nothing seems to
work. My Control Panel > admin services is empty. My Control Panel >
scheduled tasks is empty.

Please be gentle- I'm a nubie
Thanks
