calendar and contacts data lost after syncing Henk Heemskerk 06-05-2005

After filling my PPC with a lot of contacts and appointments, I started to
sync with Outlook on my notebook.
After several tries, which did not look successful, I finally saw the status
""Synchronized with Windows PC" on my organiser. But after inspecting my
calendar and contacts I found out that all data had disappeared.
Can anyone tell me how this might have happened, or - even better - how I
can restore my old data ?

Hi

When you create a new partnership you are asked if you want to use the data
from either desktop, pocket pc or borh.

if you chose dekstop, all data on the pocket pc will be erased. this is
would i think has happend

Getting you data back... ehhh you would need a backup of your pocket pc?

Hi Henk,

If this data sync'd to the desktop and got deleted after that, then there is
small chance that you will find it in the "deleted items folder" of Outlook.
Otherwise your data is lost unless ofcourse you have a backup. With respect
to the cause, Allan has already mentioned about the strongest possibility.
