hello, its been awhile since ive dropped by...here i am once again needing
recommendations.

i run my webserver out of my home on a commercial cable backbone. my
router is a linksys wrt54g version 2 flashed with dd-wrt and it has worked
GREAT to this point.

trouble is, the router is only capable of 512 simultaneous connections and
thanks to growing popularity of some of my sites im exceeding this causing
the sites to stop functioning.

i need to upgrade to a router capable of handling 1000 simultaneous
connections. i want a decent one, but i dont need the absolute best (most
expensive) one available. id really apprecaite a reasonable recommendation.
thanks,

I'm using an Adtran NetVanta 1224R and I love it. It's 1U, 24 port
switch/router. You can create as many sub-nets off of it as you need.
You can portion out the ports on the switch to be different sub-nets, so
you can easily have one switch used for a public facing network, and for
a DMZ. The Web UI is pretty easy to use.

It looks like new they run around 500-1000. Used on EBay are going for
around $100. I bought a 2nd unit as a spare on Craigslist for $30.
