Hello. I'm running XP Pro, have a Zip drive, an external hard drive, a 3.5
floppy drive, and a SanDisk card reader.

Lately I've begun having problems with Autoplay "taking over" my o.s. It
occurs after recovering from timeout, and only after 3-4 successive timeouts
during a daily work session. There is nothing in the Zip drive, nothing in
my CD-DVD drive, nothing in my 3.5 floppy drive when this occurs.
Immediately after opening Windows using the password, Autoplay appears with
the scanning flashlight, then disappears, then reappears with increasing
frequency until it remains constantly on the screen, at which point I have to
pull the plug.

What does it think it is looking for? Suggestions welcomed.....xcskier
