I have been unable to get the Geography Network connection from
Arc-Explorer-4.0.1 (Java) to work from our MacOS-10.3.3 boxes. I can
get the browser (Safari) to start and point to the Geography Network
site, but when I click the `add to arc-explorer' button for any
resource, the browser reports `GNApplet UnInited'. The console log reports:
load: class com/esri/mo/gn/GNApplet not found.
.. . .
Caused by: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed.
.. . .
The .jar with GNApplet is on the classpath inside the Arc-Explorer
application resources.
I assumed this was a firewall problem, and opened a port in the range
used by Arc-Explorer and configured the GNPort in
~/aimsclient.properties, but this did not fix the problem.
Anyone use Arc-Explorer successfully on MacOSX? Thanks,
