What is incrementa.exe ?

In the XP Pro Task manager list there's an entry incrementa.exe
I don't know where it came from, and it's probably harmless. But after
a fair amount of searching I've still not found a hit. Lots for
incrementa'.exe and some for increment.exe.

Ring any bells please?

Meanwhile I've deleted it and will see what if anything stops working.

One other thought: I wonder if it's connected with an odd fault I have
occasionally, when Ctrl+arrow stops working as it should in some
programs, such as moving an entry down a list?

Terry:

Any file can be named anything so a name alone is insuffiecient.

In the future, please submit samples to Virus Total --
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html
The submission will then be tested against many different AV vendor's scanners.
That will give you an idea what it is and who recognizes it.  In addition Virus
Total will provide the sample(s) to all participating vendors.

It is a filename, presumably for an executable. Any further guesswork
may or may not be fruitful.

So, it is probably not a needed system file.

No, but is the opposite decrementa or excrementa?

If it is retrievable from "deletion", you could submit it to further
scrutiny by using virustotal.com or jotti.org.

I doubt that, but stranger things have happened.
