Running WinXp home ed.
Approximately once per month my son finds that his username or password
is not accepted by his ISP and has to be reset.
Could this be a virus or malware thing ?
Thanks , Richard

Well, he probably won't remember that link when he comes across the next
acronym. Just type it into Google, usually the result can be seen
without further clicking.

Re: Username / Password changed

Thank you for a lot of extra info but this is not  PEBKC as the
usewrname / password is supposed to be saved from session to session and
not entered each time you wish to log on.
What would corrupt this ?
Perhaps I should post this elsewhere but--give you another try ---
And thanks for the dictionary !!! Richard

A virus or malware? Not likely.  What do you mean by "reset" and how do
you do that?

What application is this username/password associated with?  An email
client?  A dialup widget?  Some clue here might help provide better
assistance.

Corrupt settings file/registry item
Failure to check "Remember Me"

Please don't top-post.  (That means reply after this.)

My ISP is ntlworld in the UK.
It happens to me once in a while.
Not enough to be a nuisance
I just ignore it, try again later and all's well.
