Think so.....btw, your clock is an hour out somehow.  But the Whois
gives me a town in Alaska.  Not up on *GMT minus* for that area.

Cheers......Figgs

Thanks Bart......I had the town/city, but figured it would be the same
zone as BC, which I now see it isn't.   But isn't he still one hour
out??  He answered me before I posted.

Oh well, you guys can keep Alaska.....too cold for us, grin.

Cheers......Heather

I didn't pay any attention to the original post's time stamp,
just your observations about zone and know AK is between us and HI

Ty. Dont know why my clock was out. Its fixed now.
By the way maybe language was the wrong term. But apparently no one can explain
how you learn to wrt the
rules for the filters. Maybe expressions is the correct term. But whats funnier
than my use of the word
language is the fact that you couldnt figure that out:)

Now here is some humor that should make you smile.

                       " Women's Ass Study "

There is a new study out about women and how they feel about their asses.

I thought the results were pretty interesting.

25% of women think their ass is too fat......

10% of women think their ass is too skinny......

The other 65% say that they don't care; they love him, he's a good man and
they would have married him
anyway...

Alaska.

I get to work on time and the computer matches the two alarm clocks, so
I think it's that dumb assed "daylight savings time" mess causing problems.

What newsreader are you using? Most will filter on number of groups.

If you don't want them someone else may

Most will also show headers too if requested so you don't have to ask
questions which have already been answered.

Jim.

Point taken. I find it so tedious to have headers on that I quite forget how
much info's in
there.

Re: This NG is getting useless

Hi, I am using Outlook Express 6. Could you recommend a better, free,
newsreader?

Thanks

SuperGravity, PAN, etc...

Pan is open source and works well, but SuperGravity is a MUCH better free
product. If you pick PAN you need to download the supporting modules to
allow it to run on a Windows OS.

Thunderbird, <http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ or

Gravity, <http://lightning.prohosting.com/~tbates/gravity/ .  I'm using
v2.60b, build 2039 which has a good spell checker and can decode yEnc.
There's an open source version of Gravity at
<http://mpgravity.sourceforge.net/ but read the caveats.

Also, any newsreader is better than OE, but Xnews is tops in my books.

Never could figure out how to use it, and the bandwidth is so slow here
that I got frustrated and quit.

Thanks. I'll look it over. My only real gripe about T'Bird is how it
screws up when I accidentally double click on the left pane (and how
right clicking on a word to see why it is misspelled covers the word so
I cannot compare the suggestions with the misspelled word).

Tho, it was entertaining to discover "Mozilla" was not found in the
T'Bird spell check <G>.

Ok, so here is another link. http://www.geocities.com/d4vidb/x_setup10.html

Has some simple info about using a spell checker with Xnews.
