I'm curious.  Wouldn't it be possible (and it may be done already) for
someone to write a script of sorts that would "reactivate" malware by
changing the quarantined file extension back into the normal file
extension.  I only ask this because many people quarantine their
infections but never actually delete them, making for the possiblity of
a huge reinfestation.  Are quarantine files highly encrypted to prevent
this?  Thanks!

I believe quarantined files within Symantec AV CE are encrypted. I need
to check on my other AV product.
