Re: reinstallation antivirus after the days remaining
Hello, I'm new of this newsgroup, I would know how I can reinstallation the
antivirus in my computer after the days remaining,
Would you ask if there is a web site where I can see how reinstallation the
You haven't said what AV [anti-virus] product you are using.
From what I understand the anti-virus program you are using is about to
Usually before the program completely expires the company providing the AV
program will either send an email to you notifying
you that it is about to expire and provide a website link in the email which
will send you to their website where you can sign up again for another
subscription for 1 or 2 years or you may get a message within the AV program
itself warning you that the program is about to expire and there will
usually be a link or an icon within the program which will take you to their
website so you can re-sign up again.
If you want to keep using your current AV program then usually the methods
above are the ways the AV company will inform you that you need to pay for
the subscription again. Or you can decide to not subscribe to that company
and try another AV program possibly even a free AV program - such as;
AVG 8.0 Free http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe
Avira AntiVir Personal
If you decide to try a free AV you will need to un-install the AV program
you are currently using. You can do this by going to a section on your
computer called Add/Remove Programs. This is located in the Control Panel
and once you have accessed all the programs that are installed on your
computer listed in Add/Remove you simply scroll through all the programs
until you see the name of the AV program you are currently running and then
click on the Remove tab on the right. Follow the instructions to remove the
program. I'm not sure what version of windows you are running it could
either be Windows XP or Windows Vista or you could even be using an Apple
Installing a new program is as simple as downloading the program, then
double click on the file and follow the prompts to install.
Report back on the results, good or bad so others may benefit
